INGREDIENTS

Peaches

  • 5 Chopped Fresh Peaches, peeled and sliced (you can use 1 quart canned peaches un-drained)

  • ½ Cup Granulated Sugar

  • ¼ Teaspoon Salt

Cobbler Crumbles


DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. In a saucepan, combine fresh peaches, sugar and salt. Cook over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and set aside. Note: If using canned peaches, place in a bowl with juice, add sugar and salt. Set aside.

  3. While the oven is pre-heating, slice the butter into the 9x13” pan. Place in oven till just melted. Remove from oven.

  4. Mix the cobbler crumbles dry ingredients together omitting the ground cinnamon.

  5. Add the egg and milk to the dry mix and stir with a spoon until it becomes fairly smooth.

  6. Pour the batter into the pan on top of the butter and evenly spread out. Then pour the peach mixture on top of the batter. Generously sprinkle ground cinnamon on top. Place in oven.

  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes. Serve warm.

 
NOTES:
  • Cobbler uncovered will last in the refrigerator for several days.

  • Re-warm in the oven at 325°F for 5-10 minutes.

  • This cobbler is GREAT with ice-cream on top!

The recipe was really easy to make. I was very pleased with the way the topping turned out. Great recipe to try. I was glad I could use fresh or canned peaches.
