Delicious Gluten-Free Taco Seasoning Recipe You Can Make at Home

Skip the store-bought packets and make your own gluten-free taco seasoning at home! This simple blend of spices adds bold, authentic flavor to tacos, burritos, and more—without any hidden gluten or fillers. Made with pantry staples like chili powder, cumin, paprika, and garlic, it’s easy to mix up in minutes and customize to your taste. Perfect for weeknight dinners or meal prep!


Butter Cream Cheese Frosting

YIELD: 1 Serving

PREP TIME: 5 MIN


INGREDIENTS
  • 5 Teaspoons paprika

  • 1 1/4 Teaspoon ground cumin

  • 1 1/4 Teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 Teaspoon chili powder

  • 1 Teaspoon oregano

  • 1/2 Teaspoon garlic salt

  • 1/4 Teaspoon coriander

  • 1/4 Teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/8th Teaspoon allspice

  • 1/8th Teaspoon ground cloves

  • 1 packet Stevia (pure Stevia) or 2 Teaspoons sugar

DIRECTIONS
  1. Place all ingredients in a small bowl. Whisk until well combined.

  2. When making Tacos, use One-pound cooked and drained hamburger. Add Taco Seasoning plus 1/3 cup water to the cooked meat. Stir while cooking.

  3. Cook over medium heat until water is cooked down.

  4. Use with taco shells, adding cheese, lettuce, diced tomato and your favorite taco sauce or salsa.

NOTES:
  1. If you are not using the taco seasoning right away, place in a covered container. The spices will keep fresh for quite a while.

  2. Other uses include Tostadas, Taco Salad, Fajitas, burritos, casseroles and much more.

  3. Use as a seasoning for chicken or fish.
