Strawberry Delight Pizza Dessert

At the age of four, founder Debbie's granddaughter Stella came to visit Debbie in Oregon. When Stella packed for her trip, she took care to bring a dessert pizza recipe she had found online, one she hoped Debbie and she would make together. 
Yes, age-four Stella searched online for special dessert pizza recipes to make with grandma. What a kid!
They made that dessert pizza and it was so good! Of course, Debbie had to substitute Inspiration Bakery and Mixes Pizza Crust Mix for the wheat flours demanded by Stella's recipe. Our pizza crust mix...always gluten-free. And Debbie added a few other ingredients to give the pizza dough enough dessert sweetness.
Not only did the two bake a great Strawberry Delight Pizza Dessert that everyone enjoyed, but they also made a lifetime memory that Stella and her grandmother share and still talk about today!!

  • Dough Roller (pizza-dough roller, regular rolling pin, or glass bottle)

  • Plastic Cling Wrap or Airtight Container



  • 227 Grams Inspiration Bakery and Mixes Pizza Crust Mix (1/2 box)
  • 1 Tablespoon Yeast (or 1 yeast packet)
  • 1/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 2 Egg Whites
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1/4 Cup Water
  • Tapioca Flour


  • 2 Pints Strawberries (fresh, if available)
  • 1/4 Cup Butter or Substitute
  • 1/4 Cup + 2 Tablespoons Granulated Sugar


  • Wash your strawberries and air dry. Keep them at room temperature until used
  • Preheat oven to 425° F
  • Put your Inspiration Bakery and Mixes Pizza Crust Mix, yeast, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl and whisk until well mixed. Set the dry mixture aside
  • Into your stand mixer bowl put egg whites, olive oil, and water. Using the paddle attachment, beat on medium for about 1 minute until the wet mixture is frothy. Add the dry mixture and beat on medium-high for 2 minutes, scraping the bowl at least once to make sure all elements get integrated into your pizza dough
  • Use your spray oil to grease the pizza pan. Put the pizza dough on the pan and sprinkle lightly with tapioca flour. Dip your roller into tapioca flour and roll the dough out into a circle no larger than 14 inches
  • Using a fork or pizza-dough docker, make impressions in the dough without going all the way through the dough The impressions prevent the dough from developing bubbles that become thin spots during baking
  • Put your pizza crust in the oven and bake for 12-14 minutes, until the crust browns and looks done. Don't overly brown the crust because this pizza is a dessert
  • Remove the pizza crust from your oven. If you are using a metal pan, slide the crust onto a plate or platter to add your topping
  • For the toppings, melt butter in a saucepan and spread it over the top of the pizza crust. Then, sprinkle up to 1/4 cup granulated sugar over the melted butter on your pizza crust. The idea is to make sure the butter soaks up the sugar, so use less sugar if the sugar does not melt in as you sprinkle it
  • Let the crust with butter and sugar on it cool for 10-15 minutes
  • Thinly slice your strawberries. Layer the strawberries around the top of the crust in overlapping circles. Sprinkle the last 2 tablespoons or so of sugar evenly across the berries
  • Slice your Strawberry Delight Pizza Dessert and serve
  • Note: the dessert pizza can be stored in your refrigerator covered with plastic cling wrap or in an airtight container. And yes, most people get the whole thing:)
