Flour Tortillas
INGREDIENTS
2 cups GF Inspiration Mixes Dad’s Pizza Crust Mix
2 TBL shortening
1 TBL sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 to 1 ¼ cup boiling water
INSTRUCTIONS
Cut in shortening.
Add hot water, mix and form into a ball.
Let sit for 5 minutes.
Heat a griddle to 375°F. Do not grease the griddle.
Make 8 golf size balls and roll in tapioca flour. Press the balls between your hands to flatten them out. Then place on a floured board and roll out very thin. Tortillas should be approximately 8 inches in diameter.
Place the tortilla on the griddle and cook a few minutes on each side till they begin to bubble. Remove from heat and serve. You can also store them in a plastic bag for use the next day.
You can sprinkle them with garlic salt after they are removed from the griddle for added flavor.
