Apple Pie
INGREDIENTS To make the filling, you will need: Prepare your filling first. It should sit for about 15 minutes before filling the crust. Roll out pie crust and place in the pie pan. Pour filling into the pan, being careful not to over fill. Dot the top of the filling with some butter or butter substitute. Roll out crust top and place on the top of the filling. Crimp edges to seal the two crusts together. Slice the top of the crust in various places. This allows the filling to bubble freely without lifting the top crust off. Brush a mixture of egg white and 1 TBL of water on top of the crust. Spinkle sugar and cinnamon on top as an added flavor. Cover the edges of the pie with foil, so it will not burn. Bake about 45-50 minutes until you see the filling bubble through the slits. Remove, and let cool.
